To provide a highly interactive English-learning experience and facilitate educational rewards, we collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: When you register using your Mobile Number or Email Address, we securely store your name, email, selected class, and login identifiers via secure Google Firebase Authentication.
- Audio Recordings & Microphone Input: Our application requires access to your device's microphone to capture spoken English pronunciations for voice grading and AI tutor interaction. This audio is converted locally to text or processed strictly through secure APIs. We do not record, upload, or share your raw audio without your explicit consent.
- Academic progress & Coins: We track your lesson scores, daily active streaks, and coins earned through educational quizzes and speaking tasks. This is stored locally in SQLite (Room DB) and optionally synced to your Hostinger MySQL database.
- Redemption Data: When requesting educational scholarship payouts, we collect your payout details (e.g., UPI IDs, eSewa numbers) and minor-status indications to fulfill disbursements securely.
2. Use of Sensitive Permissions
We only request permissions that are strictly necessary to support core features:
- RECORD_AUDIO (Microphone Permission): Used solely to enable voice speaking tasks, conversational practice with our AI Tutor, and real-time pronunciation assessments.
- INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to load educational materials, fetch remote AdMob configurations, sync student levels, and communicate with security servers.
3. Third-Party Services & Advertising
To support free educational resources for underprivileged students, we incorporate premium industry-standard services:
- Google AdMob: We serve banner, interstitial, rewarded, and app open ads to monetize educational engagement. AdMob may collect device-specific identifiers, IP addresses, and diagnostic logs to personalize advertisements.
- Google Firebase: Used for secure user logins, crash analytics, and database synchronization.
- Gemini AI API: Used to offer conversational guidance and speak-assessment grading. No personally identifiable information is sent to the AI API.
4. Data Storage & Safety
We take security seriously:
- Your profile and score details are saved with modern, encrypted transport protocols (HTTPS/SSL).
- Withdrawal details (UPI/Wallets) are only shared with verified administrative panels (`admin.php`) for scholarship processing.
- We do not sell, trade, or distribute your private student profiles to third-party marketing companies.
5. Children's Privacy
BoloEnglish is designed for students of all ages. If a user is under the age of 18 ("Minor"), we provide a prominent toggle in our withdrawal screen to verify parents or legal guardians authorize payouts. We do not knowingly target children under 13 with non-compliant tracking methodologies.
